SKAGWAY or I went to Skagway and all I got was SHOES!

Skagway! We started our day at breakfast looking out on a beautiful morning. Halfway through the meal—I said, OMG it is pouring, POURING. Henry are you shoes off the balcony, if not they will be drenched. Just when I thought that I would be able to return my “rainsuit”. We talked about reworking our gameplan. What to do? That was when I realized that they had simply put down the shades…it was a sunny beautiful day…

Skagway is a little town which they have tried to remain as it was…complete with faux brothels, and donkey rides through town. Cute, quaint. It reminded me of a place that we used to go in the mountains of Colorado…a mining town, for the life of me I cannot remember it's name--Leadville, Silverton, something.

Most importantly they had cute shoes!!!

Henry bought smoked salmon!!

We had dinner when we returned to the boat in Versailles Dining Room. We, as usual, said that we did not want to share a table. We were seated one row back from the tables looking out the back of the boat at the wake.

As soon as we were seated, the people in front of us turned around and started talking. Henry became nutso that they might ask us to join them. It was inconceivable that they would join us as they were in the premier table. I told Hen he should be thankful that he was married to me—Judy would have already moved the glassware up and be chatting up a storm. Through every course they would turn around and talk. One grandson 6 years old… Main course came. They live in Everett, WA, just outside of Seattle… I looked at Henry who had balls of perspiration popping out and said "if you do not want to join them, I would advise that you hurry!! If they finish first or at the same time we will be at 10pm Karaoke in the main salon."
He was done in a flash!! We were off to the safety of our room! There is something comforting to know about the fact that no matter where you are. No matter how limited television stations are—Law and Order is always on!!
