DAVE & BUSTER

I have no idea who Dave & Buster are but I do hate them. The kids wanted to go there and Jerry (Poppa to Henry's Poppy) did not know what it was so he said fine. This photo is of us...prior to the gaming portion of the program...

D&B have created a casino for children of all ages. No gambling, but machines, lights, and gobs and gobs of money changing hands. Well, a slight exaggeration. No money actually changes hands no....as in all life to be a pinball wizard involves a debit game card, and evidentally lots of drinking for those old enough.

Actually, after a few minutes I could have used a drink or four hundred. That was the downside. The upside is that the kids seemed to have a good time. I remembered a time when you went in with a roll of nickels and could play pinball for hours.

Then things changed and you played centipede for hours and hours.

Then, be still my heart, playing Galaga for days with my niece, Lauri, and friend, Karen. It was FUN!!

As I gathered grandchildren to herd them to the front of Dave and Busters (did I say Grandchildren? I have grandchildren--and I was just waxing nostalgic for hours spent in a bar with quarters and a machine), I passed by a Galaga machine, and felt the pull.

It is fairly close to work, I could probably zip over there during lunch hour.
